Rustic woodworking

Sometime this summer or maybe next we will be developing an outside bar/eating space in the back yard. I decided to get a jump on things so I built a few bar stools out of pieces I've been saving and drying. The seats are birch firewood and legs are saskatoon tree branches.

I was already making a mess in the woodshop and was still inspired to build something so I made this little side table from dried willow and scrap pieces of fir that I had laying around.

This is one of the first step-stools I built years ago with split firewood and willow twigs. I sanded the poplar seat and repainted it to freshen it up.
