Spring, better late than never

It's been a while since I posted anything so here's an update on our activities.

It's finally springtime and we're back in Canada. But before we closed up the house for the Summer Yvonne found a 4 foot diameter clock for the living room.
I like it. We'll never hear "What time is it?" anymore.

Four phases of the Lunar eclipse a couple days before we left. I was up till midnight to take these pictures.

As usual we stopped in Slocan to visit with Joel and his boys.  Seve is always glad to see us and he's especially happy when we bring food. Grapefruit, oranges and lemons from Arizona.

Harry Potter night. What would we do without Netflix?

Back home now at Lac La Nonne and this Canada Goose is treading on thin ice.
The lake finally thawed on May 1st. With a little help from the wind, the ice virtually disappeared in a matter of hours.

Three female Golden-eyes checking out the duck house.  The place will became a communal nest to deposit their eggs.

Meanwhile this male Golden-eye is performing his mating ritual. He arches his back and kicks his feet trying to impress the females but they're too busy house shopping to notice.

This young Whitetail is nervous and hungry. She was grazing in our front yard in mid afternoon today.

Winter was tough and they look pretty thin. It was hard finding food when there was 2 feet of snow to dig through to find grass. Not so today, our grass will fatten them up.
