PickleBall

We occupy the court for 2 or 3 hours every day with up to eight other pickle-ballers. We rotate players so we get to play with & against everybody.  It's good exercise but, in reality, pickle ball is what we do while waiting for Happy Hour.

Joel, Erin and the Boys visit

Joel and Erin had been planning this trip for months. Their travels will combine visits with both sets of grandparents, us in Mesa and Jerry and Rena who are vacationing in Mazatlan, Mexico.  The process started with obtaining passports for everybody, finding a house sitter, making arrangements for their dog, cats and chickens, and finally packing suitcases and driving to Spokane to hop on a flight to Phoenix.

10 till Noon and 4 till 6 are children's hours, we have the pools to ourselves.

We had planned to take the boys out for nature walks because they had so many questions about the desert but after seeing it from the car windows they were content with spending their days within the confines of Leisure World. The weather was great so they enjoyed the swimming pools, played pickle ball and tried out the practice putting greens.

Seve knows the importance of looking cool too.

Our traditional drink in Mesa, Margaritas.

Milton amazed everybody by making three 4 foot puts in a row.

The boys picked out three small cactus plants and we planted them in the back yard near the other cacti. Seve's is already in bloom.

Everybody takes a turn driving the golf cart.

From here, Joel, Erin and the boys fly to Mexico to visit Erin's parents who are vacationing in Mazatlan. We look forward to hearing about their adventures on the Pacific coast and seeing their pictures.
