Interior renovation

Why is it that we wait until the last minute before we decide to make improvements to the house? Last year it was outside painting. This year, with only a few weeks remaining in our stay, we thought it was time to rip out the carpet in the living room and put down ceramic tile. Despite the week-long mess and not having anyplace decent to sit for a week, we are happy with the finished product. What's next Yvonne, new furniture? Too bad we won't have more time to enjoy it before heading back to Alberta.

I'm not complaining but it is getting a tad hot around here. 

Now begins the string of "going away" parties.

Patio makeover

Finally, we are re-tiling the patio. 

Willy and his helper from "Get Floored" did an excellent job.
